JR's off-the-cuff take (because you can read the same boring old biographical information anywhere):
First impression: Full of life, life, LIFE! Very friendly, open, and warm. When Carol introduced us, she had just released her own brand-name perfume, and, inviting me to take a whiff, pulled my face into her neck. Now, how many people (besides, oh, Jason Robards) can say they've had a faceful of Stella Stevens's neck? Anyway... She's never gotten the praise she's deserved, probably because she's been in a lot of ho-hum drek that's far beneath her considerable talents. How she managed to work with Shelley Winters in more than one movie is beyond me (and testament to her professionalism). Eyes are incredible -- sharp and piercing (in a good way). Son is the very pretty Andrew Stevens, who had (and probably still has) great dimples. I will always remember her as Appassionata Von Climax... with the sexy neck.
Best Poseidon moment: It's a toss-up between: "Just panties -- what else do I need?" and "Air pockets?!"

WAMG: I heard a story that you were Stella Stevens housekeeper at one time?
KN: This was on my High School summer vacation. I would come to L.A. from El Paso Texas and my uncle was a janitor at a nightclub where Stella's boyfriend worked and she need a babsitter/maid and it was only until I went back to school.
WAMG: Did Stella Stevens have some connections that helped you get started in your career?
KN: No, not really.
WAMG: Are you still friends with Stella Stevens?
KN: No although I saw her not long ago at a convention. She looked great! But I didn't want to bother her by going up and talking to her. She was very busy.
