All I really know is that there were some files on his computer that were questionable when he took it in to be fixed and most of what happened was completely blown way out of proportion by the press and was dismissed anyway. Waddy is a wonderful person, I have complete faith in the fact that he is not a weirdo but sometimes we all learn hard lessons. Downloading stuff from the Internet scares the heck out of me. I think Waddy learned that the hard way but there is no way Stevie would have him in her band if she thought he was guilty of any wrong doing. ..." |

| Wachtel, Wife Arrested |
| Los Angeles Times, July 11, 1998. "Veteran guitarist Robert "Waddy" Wachtel and his wife, Annie, were arrested on suspicion of possession of child pornography following a police raid Thursday of their Los Angeles home. "We found that he had a computer with child pornography," said a detective with the juvenile sex crimes unit. He said Wachtel had produced copies of the images "that he kept in his bedroom. His wife was aware of this material." Wachtel, 52, has worked with Linda Ronstadt, Fleetwood Mac, Warren Zevon and others. The couple's arraignment was set for July 23." |
