Acknowledgements
As I write this, I am hours away from re-launching PoseidonAdventure.com — and I am not going to finish this section before my self-imposed deadline. I don't want to throw together a half-assed job just to have it out there by re-launch — it's too important — so I ask that you bear with me until I can do it, and do it right. In the meantime, just some of the people I want to acknowledge (some of whom I will later embarrass at greater length) include: Paul (of course! and without whom I never would have done this crazy thing again), Jim (our Officer on Deck since 1999, who has been more than generous, and I don't mean just with his collection, but with himself), Charly (our long-lost Concierge and my solipsistic soulmate, who I wish I could see right this very minute), Nat (without whom there would be no Mount Poseidon, nor Site itself, in the first place, and who has grown from a 15-year-old Cabin Boy into an amazing [and gorgeous] man and who, I predict, is destined to be a future Prime Minister of Canada), Kari (who stood by me and kept me sane during The Worst of Times), Allison (my shoulda-been daughter), our two Scotts (Chef and Bartender), Bob and his ever-patient wife, Dean, Frank, Mike, the lovely and talented Eric (our newest Bartender, if a ten-year tenure can be called "new," and who looks smashing in red tights, and who Facebook-deflowered me), Paul C. (whose claim of being the biggest TPA fan in the world began a snail-mail correspondence in 1973 that made me realize there were other Poseidon obsessives in the world), Marlin (who is just so darn nice), James (whom I never won over as I whispered in his ear I would if it was the last thing I did do, but who tolerated my existence anyway), Nelson (to whom I promise I will explain it all one day in the near future), Todd (with whom I spent some of my happiest evenings in The Valley), and everyone else, both present and absent (and sorely missed) from Mount Poseidon... ...and, of course, Carol. It all began with Carol. - JR
